Job situation
So there have been some trials in the job department as of late. I have been kind of looking for a full time job since I've moved to Tennessee last April. Well, I started Kidz Kastle in May of last year. I worked through the summer full time while the kids were out of school. Once school started I decided I needed to find another part time job because the school hours at the daycare were not going to be enough. So I started working at Cracker Barrel as a cashier. I worked both jobs until about two weeks after the wedding where I put in my notice at Cracker Barrel after getting a job offer at Huntington Learning Center. I really enjoyed working at Huntington and felt it was great experience for teaching. Well, out of the blue last week, my boss had emailed me asking me to call her. I called her and she informed me that unfortunatly they had to let me go because I didn't have a degree. She said she was really fighting for me but the bored just wouldn't have it. She also said that if I was looking for some part time work next summer to give her a call and that she would give me a great reference if I needed it. So they hired me without a degree and fired me because I didn't have one, but at the same time say that I can come back and work part time next summer? Doesn't quite add up. Anyways, that put me on a search to find another job, since, with school starting my hours are getting cut to about 17 hours. So I went and picked up the Tennesean and saw an add for a full time job at a daycare. I went to pick up an application and filled it out. I called them Wednesday and set up an interview for Thursday. The interview was easy and went very well. The director called me today telling me I needed to pick up a form to fill out and take to get fingerprinted. When I picked it up I asked if that meant I got the job. She said there were two part time openings and one full time opening and that three people were sent to get themselves fingerprinted. I'm hoping and praying that I get this job but only time will tell. I will keep you posted.
About us
Well, if you are reading this blog you probably know me, I'm Ami Hearing, formerly Ami Gates. This past May I got married to a wonderful man named Justin. He is a great man, a hard worker, and I love him very much. We also have a dog named Molly, and she really is my baby. We got her last November making her about 11 months old. Molly is such a sweet dog, she just wants to make poeple happy. She loves to play and she loves to snuggle as well. I work at a daycare called Kidz Kastle which I absolutely love. I love my boss, Peggy, she is the best boss I have ever had and I love working for her. Justin installs fire sprinklers for a company called International Fire Protection. He has been working in Alabama for way to long-since November, and comes home Thursday night through super early Monday morning. I hate him being gone so much. I miss him and get lonely. Good thing Molly is here to keep me company. We live in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in Gallatin, TN. In this blog I am going to share the happy moments as well as the tough moments. It is going to be a window into the lives of mostly me, but also of our family. I'm excited to get my thoughts out on "paper".
